Toby's Pond and Recreational Park in Beacon Falls, CT is now open to the pubic.
The official park ceremony on October 22, 2009 turned out to be a beautiful day with approximately 80 people in attendance. Over eighteen kayaker's and several canoeist were on hand (and in the pond) for the event.
Guest speakers included Ken Faroni, Director of Planning and Permits with O&G Industries, Nancy Wyman, State Comptroller, State Senator, Joseph Crisco and State Representative Theresa Conroy.
In addition to the ceremony a granite bench was dedicated to the memory of Edward Jurzynski a long time Conservation Commission advocate.
